  1. Butterfly Fan Dance (化蝶扇子舞) - Butterfly symbolizes happy and joyful life. Fan dance is Chinese typical folk dance. The following dance performed by Indy Chinese Show & Performance Group represents villagers’ joy and happiness in southern China. 蝴蝶象征着幸福和自由. 扇子舞是中国传统舞蹈. 印城华人表演队将为Kokomo 的朋友们表演具有蝴蝶采花踏香特色的化蝶扇子舞.               
  2. Happy Holiday (彝族篝火庆新年) - Yi Zu is the seventh largest of the 56 ethnic groups in China. Yi Zu’s typical New Year or holiday celebration event is to dance around bonfire. They live primarily in the mountainous regions of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou provinces.  This dance describes Yi’s New Year celebration event on the 24th of June every year.  The villagers are gathering together with the New Year dresses on, lighting and passing the torch, singing and dancing around the big bonfire. 彝族是中国56个民族中第七大民族. 彝族文化的典型体现是喜好集会欢歌起舞. 印城表演队为您表演彝族篝火庆新年.
  3. Eight-Quartered Scarf Playing (八角方巾技耍) -  Handkerchief dance is one of the most popular folk dances in China.  Handkerchief spinning is one of the common acrobat performance and it requires a lot of hand and eye coordination.  Lets give some applause to Indy Chinese Show Group’s  handkerchief dance. 八角方巾耍技是中国杂技之一. 手捐舞通常用于节日舞台及游行表演. 印城华人表演队队员都是全职科学,工程及医疗技术职员. 她们利用业余时间刻苦训练, Kokomo的朋友们带来了集舞蹈于杂技于一体的欢快表演-八角方巾技耍.
  4. Silk Ribbon Dance-Red Mansion Dream (长绸舞-红楼梦) - Silk Ribbon Dance was one of the Chinese court dances performed in the palace of the emperor gardens.  The following dance has been re-created from the novel, written by Xueqin Cao in 18th century-Dream of the Red Chamber. The sound track of movie Red Camber is used in the 10-meter long silk ribbon dance, performed by Indy Chinese Show Group.  长绸舞是宫廷里最典型的女子舞蹈之一. 红楼梦主题曲旋律优美. 印城华人表演队将二者彮于一体用十米彩色长绸表达宫女对爱情的向往和对生活的追求.
  5. China Modern and Dynasty Costume & Etiquette Demo Indy Chinese Show & Performance Group (现代及朝庭服饰礼仪示范) - Qipao is the most popular and fashionable evening dress in China. In old China, each dynasty has its unique costumes and etiquettes. During the Qing and Tang dynasties, ancient Chinese civilization reached its heyday in the areas of fashion, literature, art, music and architecture.  In the next program, Indy Chinese Show Group will demonstrate the modern fashion dresses, Qing and Tang dynasty costumes and etiquettes.   6. Brother Qing’s Little Boat (阿青哥的小白船) -  It is a traditional folk dance from southern China and usually played along the river. In this dance, young girls express their joy and happiness on brother Qing’s little boat. 中国江南女子喜欢戏水起舞. 一群欢乐的少女与阿青哥一同弄浆划船, 幻想美丽幸福的未来. 请欣赏印城表演队的舞蹈-阿青哥的小白船.
  7. Snow Dance (塞北的雪) - Snow represents purity of heart. The following dance is a traditional dance from northern area in China. The dance symbolizes the pure and joyful girl’s pure hearts in white snow performed by Indy Chinese Show Group. 白雪代表纯洁的心灵. 中国北方女子用洁白的雪抒情起舞展示了她们外柔内刚, 坚忍不屈美丽心灵.
  8.  Heavenly-Earth Group Dance (天上人间舞剧) - Indy Chinese Show & Performance will present the last show – Heavenly Earth on stage dance. The dance has 4 sections: Heuhua Xian Zi, Bao Lian Deng, Xian Niu and Cai Yun Zhui Yue. This fascinating group dance represents the happy scenery in heaven and on earth. Hehua represents pure hearts, Baoliandeng futures brightness of the universal, Xianniu dance represents angel’s happiness and Caiyun dance represents 7-colored rainbow pursuing the moon. 新年之际天上人间同乐. 迎城华人表演队在此为您献上大型舞蹈-天上人间. 舞蹈由四部分组成:荷花仙子, 宝莲灯, 仙女起舞及彩云追月. 四舞同台展示了天上的美丽及人间的欢乐.
  9. Chinese multi-ethnic group fork Dances – There are 56 ethnic groups in China. Han is the majority and the rest are called minority based on the sizes of the populations. Every group has its unique culture, costume and tradition. The next 5 ethnic group dances represent XinJiang, MengGu, Tibet, Dai, and Korean ethnic groups. The folk dances are usually performed at various celebration events in China. In these 5 ethnic folk dances, we used the typical costumes, music and movements to reflect the culture, art and spirit of the people. The ending folk dance used the track music of a currently popular Korean TV show - Hope. Our dance instructor Ruth Zhang applied the movie story into a dance presentation.   10. Kaimenhong开门红 – In China, red represents happiness, health, wealth and success. Red colored decorations are often used for Chinese New Year celebration parties and events. The music and dance symbolize the red tradition for Chinese New Year celebration. The program is performed by Indianapolis Chinese Performing Arts group and IUPUI Chinese School.
  11. Hua San dance花伞舞  – Flowering umbrella is often used for Chinese folk dances. The dance and music represents southern Chinese culture and tradition. The expressions of dancing movements symbolize happy girls waiting for their boy mates. The program is performed by Indianapolis Chinese Performing Arts group.
  12. Flying Songs苗族斗笠舞 –– Miao is the fifth largest ethnic minority group in China and their homeland is in the mountainous regions of southwest China especially in Guizhou. Miao people love singing, dancing, and enjoy group activities. The music of “flying songs” reflects Miao’s culture, artistry and happiness. The pineapple hats are usually used by the villagers and the dance costumes are very typical for Miao people shown at celebration events and holiday seasons.
  13. Feitian dance 飞天登皇大型舞蹈 – The oasis town of Dunhuang lay at a crucial junction of the Silk Road, that ancient braid of caravan trails stretching for more than 7,000 kilometres from China to the Mediterranean, which served as a highway not just for merchandise, but also for ideas - religious, cultural and artistic. By the 4th century AD, the Silk Road had brought Dunhuang both commercial prosperity and a growing religious community. The three sections of the program represent the beautiful art of Dunhuang and secret histry of Mogao Caves. 敦煌 (Dunhuang): 是我国河西走廊最西部的城市, 是丝绸之路古道上东西方政治、经济、文化交流的交汇处。提到敦煌, 人们就会想到神秘的莫高窟 (Mogao Caves).  莫高窟位于甘肃敦煌市东南25公里的鸣沙山东麓崖壁上, 开凿始于公元366年。据记载,一位德行高超的和尚乐囫柱杖西游至此,见千佛闪耀,心有所悟,于是,凿下第一个石窟。从十六国到元朝,石窟的开凿一直沿续了十个朝代,1500 至今,乐樽的那个石窟早已无法分辨得出,而莫高窟经过风沙侵蚀仍保存着十个朝代的750多个洞窟,窟内壁画四万五千平方米,彩塑三千余身和唐宋窟檐木构建筑五座。此外,还有上千件绢画、版画、刺绣和大量书法作品。如果把所有艺术作品一件件阵列起来,便是一座超过二十五公里长的世界大画廊。莫高窟是世界上现存规模最宏大、保存最完好的佛教艺术宝库, 被誉为东方艺术明珠。在莫高窟各个时代的壁画中,有反映当时的一些生产劳动场面、社会生活场景、衣冠服饰制度、古代建筑造型以及音乐、舞蹈、杂技的画面 另外还有民族传统神话题材及各种各样的装饰图案。从壁画中,可以看到各民族各阶层的各种社会活动,如帝王出行、农耕渔猎、冶铁酿酒、婚丧嫁娶、商旅往来、使者交会、弹琴奏乐、歌舞百戏……世间万象,林林总总。飞天(Feitian),是中国艺术家用绵长的飘带使她们优美轻捷的女性身躯漫天飞舞。飞天是民族艺术的一个绚丽形象。提起敦煌,人们就会想到神奇的飞天。请欣赏, 由著名飞天舞蹈和音乐改编的大型舞蹈: 敦煌奇观.
  14. Angle Dance – This is a classic Chinese traditional dance. With the long sleeves and unique movements, angle dance describes the Angels from the heaven, demonstrates their joyful and blessed life abundance.
  15. Wahaha娃哈哈 - “Our country is a garden; our children are the beautiful flowers in the garden”.  Please enjoy the joyful dance from the Chinese children’s multi-ethnic group folk dance, Wahaha. “我们的祖国是花园, 花园的花朵最鲜艳”. 请欣赏由小朋友为我们带来的欢快的多民族舞蹈娃哈哈”. 
  16. Harvest Dance丰收歌- For people grew up in China during the 60’s and 70’s, this dance and music will sound very familiar. The chorographic and performance had won many awards. The dance showed the busy and happy scenes in the rice-field during the harvest. 舞蹈表现了江南女子收割季节在稻田辛勤愉快劳作的情景和人们丰收的喜悦心情. 请欣赏著名舞蹈: ”丰收歌”. 
  17. Praise Home谁不说俺家乡好- Beautiful Green Mountain, soft white cloud, and endless flying songs ….  The entire is the reminder of the very special place close to heart, our home town.  Please enjoy: “Home Sweet Home”.   “一座座青山紧相连, 一朵朵白云绕山间, 一片片梯田一层层绿, 一阵阵歌声随风传……”. 请欣赏女声独唱: “谁不说俺家乡好”.
  18. Dynasty Fashion Show清唐朝服饰- There are many dynasties in China’s history.  Each dynasty has its unique costumes and etiquettes, especially in the royal family.  The Qing and Tang dynasties are historically famous for their palace music, art, culture, and costumes.  Please welcome: Qing/Tang Palace Costume & Etiquette Demonstration.中国历史上经历了数多个朝代. 清朝 (1644-1912) 唐朝 (618-907)是中国两个著名的朝代, 并以它各自独特的宫廷音乐,文化艺术,和服饰所著称请观赏清唐朝宫廷礼仪”.
  19. Girls of Sky Mountain天山姑娘- Tian-Shan is the most famous snowy mountain in XinJiang, located at the far northwestern part of China. The song and movement of this dance praise the physical beauty of the lovely XinJiang girls; and symbolize their attractive nature as pure as Snow White Lilies on the Tian-Shan Mountain.  Please welcome “Girls of Sky Mountain”.  美丽的新疆姑娘能歌善舞, 活泼, 可爱, 楚楚动人歌曲赞赏新疆天山姑娘们如雪山上的雪莲一般美丽,纯洁的秉性
  20.   21. Love Song of a Mountain Village山寨情歌- The people of Dai lives in the beautiful and richly endowed sub-tropical land Xi-Shang-Banna, Yuannan province. Their villages are flanked by the tall mountain and everlasting river. The beautiful bamboo cottages are surrounded with big palm tree and coconut forest; brooks, streams, and rivers meander around the peaceful neighborhood; peacocks gracefully walk around and showing off their colorful tail feathers.  What an inviting, magical and mythical land!  Dance “Love Songs from Mountain Village” will unfold and present to you this magnificent landscape painting of Dai’s culture.     在我国云南省的西双版纳傣族村寨, 居籍着温和,善良的傣族人.那里依河傍水, 椰树高耸, 蕉林处处; 竹楼上, 翠竹掩映, 溪流环绕, 孔雀开屛, 优美宁静, 一派南国田园景象舞蹈山寨情歌为您展开了一幅灵性妙趣的美丽的傣族风情画. 请欣赏大型傣族舞蹈: 山寨情歌.
  22. Solo Fan Dance - The soft fan dance is one of the most popular Chinese traditional dances. The fans are skillfully used to illustrate paintbrush, sword, flowers, and water waves. This solo dance is performed by our skilled dancer Ching Li who combines the simple and complex movements with the soft fan to symbolize painting and sword practicing in a raining night.  When the rain stopped and the sky became clear, she started chasing the signing birds and breathing in the morning breeze.
  23. Solo Dance “Blooming flower in the rain” - Just like the Chinese language, Chinese dance has its unique vocabulary, semantics, and syntactic structure that enable a dancer to fully express her thoughts and feelings with ease and grace on the stage. This solo dance is performed by Jinghong Li who is one of our two dance instructors. The music is “Blooming flower in the rain” that describes - In a beautiful morning, the girl was waked up by the rain drops, singing birds and morning breeze. She was so happy that she could not wait to jump in the rain. The red umbrella symbolizes the flower blooming in the rain and beautiful movements reflect her cheerful mind and happy feelings.
  24. Spirit of the Peacock The peacock is a precious bird in the sub-tropical zone. In the mind of the Dai ethnic group in Yunnan Province, it stands for auspiciousness and beauty. The excellent Peacock Dance reflects their respect for peace, honesty, water and beauty. Peacock is marked by the undulations of the waist and the arms. This triple dance is performed by the skilled dancers using the special movements of arms and neck to reflect peacock’s spirit. The following poem is the best description of the dance:
